In Acro, dancers will increase their strength and flexibility and learn a variety of tumbling and gymnastics skills. This class combines acrobatics with dance technique and will add to a dancer’s skill set.
- Acro for Minis (Company Members and Ages 7-10): Works on: Forward/Backwards Rolls, Cartwheels, Round-offs, Bridges, Backbends, Handstands, Elbow Stands, Headstands.
- Acro for Juniors/Seniors – Level 1: Works on: Kick-overs/Limbers, Front/Back Walkovers, Switching Walkovers, Arabians, Front/Back Chest-Roll, Headspring, Handspring, Aerial.
- Acro for Juniors/Seniors – Level 2: Must have: Kick-overs/Limbers, Front/Back Walkovers, Switching Walkovers, Arabians, Front/Back Chest-Roll, Headspring, Handspring, Aerial (or working towards it with a spot.) Works on: Rainbows, Step-outs, Front Aerial, Tucks (Front & Back), Layouts, Twists, Fulls.
