The Dance House was founded in 2009 with a simple but powerful vision: to create a studio where dancers could grow with confidence, strong training, and heart.
Jackie first became part of The Dance House community in 2012 and over the years poured her passion for dance, theater, and teaching into the studio. In 2023, she proudly stepped into ownership, carrying the legacy forward while ushering in a new chapter.
Today, The Dance House serves dancers from 18 months through their teenage years, offering both recreational and competitive dance alongside a robust musical theater program. While the studio continues to grow and evolve, its core remains the same: a place where dancers are known by name, encouraged with intention, and supported both on and off the stage.
Relocating to Shrewsbury marked a fresh beginning: a new space filled with new energy and opportunity, but the heart of The Dance House never changed. It has always been, and will continue to be, a studio rooted in connection, storytelling, and care.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theater and a Master of Arts in Education, Jackie blends performance excellence with thoughtful, age-appropriate instruction. Becoming a mother further shaped her approach, guiding every decision with one simple question:
Is this the kind of studio I’d be proud to send my own child to?

When you walk through our doors, you can trust that your child is in a space that is:
We take the responsibility of teaching and guiding your child seriously and we hold that trust with gratitude.
Confidence is built through trust, encouragement, and being given space to try, fail, and try again. We create a supportive environment where dancers feel safe expressing themselves, taking risks, and discovering what they’re capable of, both on stage and beyond.
We foster an environment rooted in sisterhood, teamwork, and mutual respect. Dancers are taught to support one another, celebrate each other’s successes, and grow together. We are creating a culture where kindness and connection matter just as much as achievement.
We believe childhood is meant to be joyful, balanced, and full of curiosity. Dancers here are encouraged to explore their passions without pressure or burnout, knowing they can grow, succeed, and still have time to simply be kids.
We believe strong training should build dancers up, not tear them down. At The Dance House, dancers are challenged with intention and supported every step of the way, so they grow technically while feeling confident, capable, and proud of their progress.

The Dance House isn’t just about dance classes or performances. It’s about the memories made, the confidence gained, and the relationships formed along the way.
Our legacy is a generation of dancers who leave our studio feeling capable, supported, and proud of who they are, whether they pursue the arts professionally or carry these lessons into whatever comes next.
Because long after the curtain closes, confidence lasts.
